I will never forget the story I heard years ago of a lady in her 70’s who became a missionary. You see God called her to be a missionary to a certain country when she was a teenager. She could not stop thinking about it while attended college. Before she graduated she fell in love, got married, had kids and she never went into the mission field until after her husband passed away. Her dream over 50 years later came to be.

I remember thinking at that time, isn’t that God. Even though, He calls us and we don’t respond for whatever reason, that calling is still there. Maybe that is you! Maybe years have passed and you look back to where God called you and you feel it was a missed opportunity or just a dream.

Let this be confirmation to you, if this is you. That calling is still there. No matter what your age, you are called to go into the world up until you take your last breath. It’s only a missed opportunity if you allow it to be. Don’t limit to what God can do no matter what your age. The calling is still there. You just need to say yes! Send me Lord….
