1 John 1:5b

The other morning, while in the woods, God spoke to me through two visuals. I will share one today.

Early in the morning, the woods was dark and silent. As the sky began to light up in the horizon the woods began to come alive. All kinds of different bird sounds. It was so loud I had to really concentrate in what I wanted to hear.

1 John 1:5b

It was like the birds were saying, here I am and I am alive and well. I realized, that is how much of an effect the light had on them. It caused them to become alive.

Scripture tells us that “God is the light and in Him there is no darkness at all.”

1 John 1:5b

Last month, we just celebrated Easter, that told us, “that the light shines in the darkness and yet the darkness did not overcome it.” John, really reminded us, that even though the world seems so dark right now, “the light of Jesus shines bright.”

This scripture and this visual really spoke to my heart. Yes there is pain, suffering, conflicts, lostness and madness all around us. But the light of Jesus in us tells us that this is not the last truth.

The birds came alive when the light penetrated the darkness and declared I am here. I am alive. And because the light of Jesus is alive in me, that light in us can push back the decay that is in the world. The light in us causes us to come alive and declare, because of the light of Jesus I am alive and here I am and let me share with you about the light.

Start your day, knowing the light of Jesus is with you, and just like those birds, let us declare, here I am, alive and well, because of the light.
