Proverbs 17:22

I just love it when I see people laughing. And something happens inside of me when I begin to laugh. Some of my friends claim that I laugh a lot. There has been times though when I am going through something that I don’t laugh much. I remember though that one time during worship that my worship was so different as I freely worshiped God. I felt laughter rise up in me and this told me that I was back.

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart can mean laughter. Do you know when we have a merry heart, It is a physical sign of the inward working of God. Just as our speech reflects our heart, laughter comes from a heart of happiness.

So if you feel like dry bones today, turn to the Lord and ask Him to renew you, to refresh you. You know, “God is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Something happened to me inside that day when I began to laugh again. I believe that laughter came from the Lord to heal me. We all have troubles, but the Bible promises that one day we will laugh again. Let’s not forget that the sun is behind the clouds waiting to be seen again. In the same way, when we are down, God is right there ready to come to your rescue. “Weeping May endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Laughter is a sign of the presence of God, and He will use the laughter to not only change you but change the atmosphere around you.

My prayer for you today, is that no matter what you are going through, that laughter will return and God will do something in you and through you.
