Israel found out about the pitfall of quick fixes. Some people go through life bargaining with God with no intention in keeping their promises. Once God extends them Grace, off they go doing their own thing with little or no change.

How about you? Do you only seek God during a crisis, until the next crisis? Isn’t that what Israel did? They experienced crisis, God responded, and off they went with little or no change. God called this rebellion.

I was thinking, what can we learn from this? I no longer want to live a life that God is at my beck and call. Instead I want to live a life walking hand and hand with Him. Only concerned with fulfilling His will for my life.

Let’s not fall into the trap of living a lifestyle of quick fixes in our lives, but let’s go through life holding on to Him and holding on tight.
