“Train up a child in a way that he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Gods Word saids, “children are a blessing from the Lord, but also, God has placed them in our care to raise them in a way that brings glory to Him. They have been entrusted to us and we all have a role to play in this. Our goal is to raise them so they are more and more like Christ. Our part right now is to lay a firm foundations for them.

I have discovered that children learn by example. We also, need to draw a line in what they are allowed to do. Guys, it’s okay to say no. I remember one day when I told my nephew no. That was hard! A few minutes later he turned to me and said, uncle Frank, I love you. That opened a door to a teaching moment with him. It’s our job to guide, supervise and train.

You know, as a new Christian, I had awesome role models who were significant in my growth. It is is also important to guide our children to good role models. Believe me, they could make a future impact in your child’s life.
