1 Corinthians 3:13

A couple of years ago, I took out my grandfathers gun to hunt squirrel in the Allegheny National Forest. I hunted his favorite hollow with his favorite gun. But I came back with much more then a memory. God reveals Himself in the outdoors, yet another time…

As I was hunting squirrel, I was thinking about how many nuts one particular squirrel puts in the ground and covers up. A lifetime of focusing on one thing in saving up for survival in this world. Most of those nuts buried by this particular squirrel remain in the ground to rot, or raided by another squirrel.

Makes me think of what our life represents. Are we focused on the things that someday will be destroyed? Or are we focus on Kingdom things, that will make it through the Fire?”

But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a persons work has any value.”

“Every believer will give an account of himself to the Lord at the judgment seat of Christ.”

Let’s take careful note in what we see as important…. Does it match what God says should be important?
