I just love this passage of scripture concerning David. No wonder he was a man after Gods own heart.

It is very evident at that particular moment who ruled David. At that time it was not his flesh that ruled over him but the spirit of God. This is beyond doing religious things. Being religious is not necessarily having a relationship. He even saids you can do this or that in His name and God saids away from me, I never knew you. It is a relationship that comes from the depths of our heart seeking Gods face.

I love it that everything he saw and experienced he related back to God. A place that I want to be. Going to bed thinking of him and waking up thinking of Him and living my life for Him.

God, help us to glean off of your servant David the kind of relationship that he experienced with you…
