SELAH

As I was in the woods last week before it got light, I was looking at the stars and then they disappeared and the day came alive with many sounds. I thought of how David experienced that everyday as a shepherd boy. I thought, what did he experience?

In the book of Psalm we read the word “Selah” between certain verses. That is exactly what that is, a pause. To me, after I read that verse and read that word, I think, “Let’s think about this a little bit.” That is sort of what David did at night and he took that pause to think about his creator and we read many of his thoughts in scripture.

Is this what life is for you right now, SELAH? One long pause. Let’s not waste this precious time that God has given us. Reflect on what God has for you and what He wants to speak to you. Don’t spend this time in worry, but use this time to get even closer to God like David did at night.

SELAH. My word for now, to think about what God is speaking to me. How about for you?

David wrote,

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone Lord, will keep me safe.”

Psalm 4:8

I know, I want God to also speak to me so I can write his words in my journal, to reflect back from time to time.

This week my friends! SELAH…
