One night last week, I awoke and these words were laid on my heart. IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE OF JOY IN YOU? I wrote those words down and I circled the word evidence. You know, Joy is the mark of a Christian?

One time I preached, if they gathered up all the Christians like they did in Daniels time who prayed to the one true God, would they find enough evidence on us to convict us?

You know going to church, reading your Bible, preaching, the Word, singing, etc is not evidence that you are a Christian. But in Galatians 5 on the fruit of the Spirit gives evidence of what a Christian produces.

You see anyone can be happy, but only a follower of Jesus can have joy. Happiness is dependent on what is happening with you and it is limited.

My joy, came from discovering God and following Him. I didn’t get joy by seeking joy but by pursing Him. I receive it when I was thirsty for Him. He promises that our joy will be full. If you want to be full of joy, then hunger and thirst for Him.

This is why folks, in the middle of darkness we can experience great joy. I have seen this in amazing ways with people who went through a dark times in their lives.
