“I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy and that your joy will overflow.”

John 15:11

The word given to me last week was this, IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE OF JOY IN YOU? This continues to stick with me.

All through scripture the word joy pops up every where. At least 155 times. And Jesus felt it was important enough to mention that He wants your joy to overflow! So you can bet, there will be an attack on it.

So for your joy to overflow, Jesus needs to be the center of everything in your life. So in saying this, the world will pull you away from anything that is centered on Him. Things we are going through, or the climate of our country, is nothing but a distraction to stop the overflow of joy.

As hard as it might be, we need to center our eyes on Him! It is He who will pull us out of any situation that we are in. I am looking for His perspective in what I am going through.

So this overflowing is available for you today. It is a tool that God uses to draw people to Himself. This joy in you that is overflowing in the midst of hard times will attract people and cause them to ask WHY?

Today, as everyone talks about whatever current event is goi g on in the world today, use this opportunity to allow the joy of Him to overflow and touch those that God has put in your path.
